I was approached with a request to review the AirRestore Tempest Air Neutralizer on behalf of Sapphire Green Earth, and honestly, I wondered if this would be a good fit for my pet blog?
Oh, my, gosh, yes!
I share my home with 2 dogs, 2 cats, oh yes, and a husband 😉 and as much as I like a clean home, living with 4 pets (husband not included) it’s a constant battle to control the hair, dander, dust, and that occasional scent of pet odour.
So I thought, if the AirRestore Air Neutralizer can do half of what it claims, then I’m ahead of the game.
Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine how much of a difference the AirRestore would mean for me, my home and my family!
Back to my pets. Most of you know that I share my home with 2 pugs, Edie, and our newest addition puppy Edna. Both dogs sleep in our bedroom in their crates. Our cats, Lily and Lloyd, like all cats, sleep wherever they want, but in Lloyd’s case, 90% of his sleeping is done at the foot of our bed.
I change our bedding, vacuum and dust frequently, but I still wake throughout the night with a stuffed up nose. I’ve always blamed my stuffiness on allergies – something I’ve suffered from since childhood.
When Sapphire Green Earth’s AirRestore Air Neutralizer arrived, my first thought when opening the package was “this is small”. I wondered how something this size could have the strength to produce any positive effects in my home.

The first night I placed the AirRestore on the night stand in our bedroom. At first I thought something was wrong. Why wasn’t I hearing anything, had I not plugged it in all the way? After checking all plugs and outlets, the AirRestore was indeed plugged in and working, the AirRestore is just that quiet – bonus!
Next was the scent coming from the AirRestore, “I know that smell, what is that familiar scent?”
I ask my husband, “do you smell that, what does that smell like to you?”
“Air. Fresh Air”
That’s it!
Like opening your windows on a cool spring or autumn day to air the house out – that’s what the AirRestore Tempest Air Neutralizer smells like, air – fresh air!
I’m being truthfully honest here, since having the AirRestore Tempest Air Neutralizer in my home, I have not slept better, and not once have I woke in the middle of the night or early morning with a stuffed up nose.
After a couple of days running the AirRestore Tempest Air Neutralizer, my son came to visit. As soon as he walked through the door I asked him “what do you smell?” – making sure I wasn’t the only one who noticed a difference. His response, “nothing, fresh, it smells like you have the windows open”.
My son, like myself, suffers from allergies, but where mine are seasonal his are extreme and the dander of my pets affect him, causing a runny, stuffed nose, sneezing and watery eyes. However, this visit was different. My son spent approximately 5 hours visiting and had not so much as a sniffle. It wasn’t until after he left that it occurred to us that our son didn’t get congested and bothered by the allergens caused by the dogs and cats. The next day my son called to say that was the first time he had not had been affected by allergy symptoms while visiting – now he can’t use that as an excuse for not visiting me more often 😉

We got an air purifier and tore out the carpet and it’s been helping with my allergies. Ours is much bigger though. I like how compact this one is.

Wow! This sounds like something I need to try. I had allergy testing done last fall and I wasn’t allergic to cats, but I am slightly allergic to dust and boy, do I have a lot of it!

I am impressed with your review. I have had a number of air cleaners and end up placing them away because they are either noisy or emit an ozone smell that is unpleasant. I will have to check this little unit out.

Thank you for your input on my review! We’ve had air cleaners and purifiers in the past, but nothing with such positive results like the AirRestore. It truly is whisper quiet – to the point that I have to put it up to my ear to make sure it is actually on!

This sounds almost too good to be true! I have an old house and only some of the windows open, so even on the nicest days it is hard to get that fresh air smell.

I totally need this! My husband is very sensitive to “doggie smells” even though my Huskies do not have much of a smell like other dogs I’ve had due to their “odorless” coats (unless wet, then all bets are off)! I am definitely looking into this! Sharing a house with four Huskies, a hubby, my grandson, daughter, and son-in-law…that’s a lot of stinky paws and feet! This…could be my answer! This looks like a great product! Now that I’m down to one dog, my house isn’t too bad. Maybe I’ll get one for my stepson who has 5 dogs and several cats in a small house! He has allergies and this may do the trick.

Wow, I can’t believe how tiny it is! Might have to look into one of those! Now that we have the Litter-Robots for our cats, the litter box smell has been obliterated. But having a dog, that brings all sorts of new smells into the house, lol!

It truly has helped me with my seasonal stuffiness! I was always waking in the middle of the night and early morning stuffed up, but since using the AirRestore I haven’t been stuffed up!

I love that it is small as living in a tiny studio, just me and Layla we don’t have space for them and only this week was starting to do research on air purifiers as lately with all the smoke from the Northern Californian fires in San Francisco the air quality has been bad and Madam is itching again. That’s awesome that it works so well but doesn’t take up a lot of space! We have tried a handful of air purifiers over the years thanks to my own allergies, some that have worked and we still use and others that we didn’t keep too long. I’ll have to check this one out if we’re ever in the market for a new one.
