FroliCat® Cheese™ Automatic Cat Teaser Toy by PetSafe – Review
My first reaction when seeing the FroliCat® Cheese™ Automatic Cat Teaser Toy by PetSafe was “Do I know a cat that would love playing peek-a-boo with these mice!”
I have two cats that have been with us since kittens, Lily who is 14 years old, and Lloyd who will soon be turning 11 years old. Now, Lily and Lloyd couldn’t be any different as far as personalities go.
Lily is very independent, not very cuddly, prefers attention on her own terms, will sit beside you, but only on the arm of a chair. Lily’s idea of playing is watching a rolled up ball of tin foil tossed across the floor.
Now Lloyd is a different story all together. Lloyd is a big teddy bear of a cat and loves attention! All one has to do is look at Lloyd and he will immediately begin to purr. Lloyd loves to be pet, scratched under the chin and is very vocal, he enjoys having complete conversations with us. Lloyd’s idea of playing is grabbing a catnip toy from the toy box, flopping himself on the floor and digging away at it with his hind legs. One does not want to ever attempt to taking a catnip toy from Lloyd!
I received a FroliCat® Cheese™ Automatic Cat Teaser Toy from PetSafe in exchange for my honest review. I only share products that I believe my readers would find of interest, products that I would personally use or have my pets use.
I was so sure that Lloyd would be the first to go after the mice popping in and out of the Cheese Cat Teaser by PetSafe, but to my surprise it was Lily that found this cat and mouse game so much fun!
Now Lloyd is never one to be left out from anything that Lily may get, so had to check out what this Cheese Cat Teaser Toy was all about!
Set-up of the FroliCat® Cheese™ Automatic Cat Teaser by PetSafe couldn’t be simpler; I just added 3 AA batteries (not included) and pressed the play button.
The Cheese Cat Teaser Toy has two play options; a one-time play lasting approximately 10-15 minutes, or you can surprise your cat and activate the “Play While you’re Away Mode” allowing them to play up to 3 random times throughout the day.
Lily playing with the Cheese Cat Teaser Toy may not seem like a big deal, but being a senior cat we were encouraged to see her active, stimulated and interested. Lily sits by the Cheese Cat Teaser Toy waiting to see if and when one of these mice will pop out from the Cheese block. When the Cheese Cat Teaser Toy is turned on, Lily and Lloyd come running at the sound of the mice popping in and out, waiting for their chance to catch a mouse!
If you’re looking for an interactive toy for your cat, one that will peak their interest, keep their minds busy and active, the Cheese Cat Teaser Toy by PetSafe may be just the toy for them!

Toys aren’t just for kittens! It’s so important for senior cats to be challenged and active as well.

That looks like fun for cats to play with. Does Edie chase it too?

Lol! Edie was not to be left out! She did get a little close to the mouse as it poked its head out and she was just not sure what to make of it. She has decided to leave it to the cats to figure out 😉

It looks really fun. Neither of our cats are very playful, but I wonder if they would like this. Interesting that your senior kitty was the one like it the most. I wonder if our senior girl would enjoy.

I love that they made it a cheese wedge! I’ve seen a couple homemade toys that work the same, cats seem to love them.

I think the cheese wedge adds to the appearance and the fun of it!

Oh this looks like a lot of fun! I think my young cat would enjoy it. Not sure about my aging kitty but even “watching” the toy would be fun for her.

Both my cats are considered senior, but they both enjoyed watching and playing “catch the mouse” with this game, showing you don’t have to be a kitten to have fun!
