The days are getting shorter, leaves are falling, rain and snow are creeping into our daily forecast so this can only mean one thing for this pug – jacket season has officially begun!
I have received the Astoria Overcoat from Gold Paw Series for my honest review. I only share products that I would personally use for my pets and believe would be of interest to my readers.
To help protect me from this damp, wet fall weather, the good people at Gold Paw Series sent me an Astoria Overcoat to try out.
Pretty in Pink – Astoria Overcoat by Gold Paw Series
My first impression of the Astoria Overcoat; “I love the colour and the lightweight waterproof fabric”, but the important questions were – would the overcoat fit and how would the Astoria Overcoat stand up to the challenge of keeping this pug warm and dry?
Pugs have large chests and necks that make fitting into jackets a challenge, but with the Astoria Overcoat there was no issue whatsoever. The was plenty of room around the collar of the Astoria Overcoat and the jacket stayed secure and in place with adhesive straps around the neck and below chest.

With fluctuating temperatures at this time of year, the Astoria Overcoat is the perfect combination; light enough so as not to overheat your dog, yet gives the perfect coverage for the damp, chilly fall days. On cooler days, the Astoria Overcoat works well over fleece jackets to give extra protection from the elements.
The Astoria Overcoat is made in the USA; comes with a D-ring attachment in the smaller sizes; a leash opening in larger size jackets; and is machine washable, a very important feature for the humans!

What a nice coat, I like that it’s long enough to fit! I always have trouble getting apparel for Phoebe, she’s so short but has a long back.

Some serious R&D has gone into making that coat, especially if it fits you comfortably. It looks comfortable and does what an overcoat is meant to do, add an extra layer for warmth.
