National Cupcake Day 2015

A Sweet Cause for Friends with Paws!

3rd Annual National Cupcake Day™

February 23rd

Benefiting SPCAs and Humane Societies across Canada

Animal lovers across Canada are invited to have their cupcakes and eat them too!

Celebrate the third annual National Cupcake Day™, taking place Monday, February 23rd, to benefit Societies for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCAs) and Humane Societies across Canada.

Originally launched by the RSPCA in Australia, New South Wales, National Cupcake Day™ began in Canada in 2013, and the initiative has since grown across the country year after year. This year’s program is sponsored by Pets Plus Us®, Agency59, BMO®, Hill’s® Science Diet® and Reynolds® Staybrite®.

Supporting National Cupcake Day™, the first-ever collaborative fundraising effort supporting animal welfare societies across Canada, is a chance to give back to the animals that bring so much joy to life. All proceeds will support furry friends, big and small, who have been abused, abandoned, or are in need of help – animals like Dixie who was one of 27 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation.

Dixie was one of many animals rescued by the SPCA in 2014, who has since found a new, loving forever home.

Since being rescued by the Ontario SPCA, Dixie has found her forever home. She spends her days enjoying her loving new family and delighting residents at a local nursing home.

You can help animals like Dixie by joining the cupcake movement.

To get involved, register your participation online at:, host a cupcake party at home, work or school, and collect donations to end cruelty against animals.
