Staying Hydrated with PetSafe’s Drinkwell Zen Pet Fountain

This summer has been to say the very least, hot, dry and humid.

There are some that enjoy the tropical-like weather, and I for the most part do as well, but when the heat and humidity continues day after day, with little relief, it can take a toll on us and our pets.

It’s all about taking it slow and easy and staying hydrated during the dog days of summer

This is a sponsored post on behalf of PetSafe Canada. I received a Drinkwell Zen Pet Fountain for my honest review and to bring attention to the importance of pet hydration. I only share products that I would use for my pets, myself, or believe would be of interest to my readers. All opinions of the PetSafe Drinkwell Zen Pet Fountain are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of PetSafeCanada.

Drinkwell Zen Fountain has a large water capacity and wide free-falling fountain enticing my dogs to drink more.

As much as I love spending summer days outdoors with my dogs, I must be aware and take precautions that they don’t become overheated or dehydrated.

Up until now, spending hot summer days outside with my dogs has meant filling multiple bowls of fresh cool water for them to have access to. It never fails, when I finally put my feet up, the dogs have either drank most of the water, or, my rambunctious puppy runs through it and knocks the water dish over.

Helping My Dogs Stay Hydrated with Less Fill-Ups

With the Drinkwell Zen Pet Fountain’s large water capacity of 128 oz, it gave my dogs access to plenty of water without me having to continually refill the water dishes, and because of the Zen Pet Water Fountain’s larger size my puppy couldn’t knock it over!

The water in the Zen Pet Fountain flows through a replaceable filter helping keep my dog’s water supply cleaner, the water then flows over a wide free-falling fountain that enticed my dogs to drink more and ultimately kept them hydrated.

  1. So very true about hydration and us cats and dogs, and that looks a great easy to use fountain too. Keeping cool is a big thing for me so I will be getting a cooling mat for next year, as I think our summer has gone now.

    • The Zen pet fountain is very easy to set up and use. I’m also going to be looking into a cooling mat for my pups, but with the weather we’ve been having here, it sure doesn’t feel like summer is anywhere being done yet – so hot – so humid!

  2. Now THIS is a fountain I can REALLY love. My cats would adore this as much as your pups do!

  3. Dang! 128oz is quite a bit of water. For morning walks in Arizona, I’ll carry 64oz and there are some mornings where the pups and I will drink almost all of it. I could see how this drinking fountain cuts down on the number of fill-ups during the hotter days.

    • Before the Drinkwell Zen fountain I was refilling my dog’s water dish multiple times a day especially on these hot summer days we’ve been having. With the large capacity of the Zen pet fountain, I can fill it and know my pups will be well hydrated.
