Vet Visit, Toronto Dog Event, Saying Goodbye, End of Summer

This Week with Edie and Edna, the Toronto Pugs

Vet Visit, Toronto Dog Event, Saying Goodbye, End of Summer

Oh my pugness we have some catching up to do!  We’ve been having technical issues with our blog, but thank goodness, we are finally back up and running.

So now let’s get to the really important stuff, sharing and updating what’s been going on with me, Edie, and of course, Edna.

Vet Visit and Broken Pug Nail

Well humon says summer wouldn’t be summer unless “somepug” ended up at the vet. Yes, as you may have read on my Facebook page, I did have an incident where my little toe got caught between the boards of the deck, and as they say, that toe nail will never need trimming again.

This is one nail that won’t ever have to be trimmed again 😉

A heads up, just because you have little paws and little toe nails, if your nail gets pulled off, lots and lots of blood comes with it! Humom says her still in shock. However, I did get to wear very cool and pawsome bandages for a couple of days.

Toronto Dog Event

Edna and I attended a get together for fellow Toronto dogs. If you can believe it, it was held at a brewery! Now there was no beer or drinks of that nature for us dogs, but it was definitely a fun place for a dog meetup.  We had a chance to catch up with some old friends, and made some new pals as well.

Showing Edna the ropes, and meeting up with some new pals

Edna is not as seasoned as I am when it comes to going to events, but I told her one of the most important things is to dress for success. Edna went through my closet and picked a colourful bow tie for the occasion.

I think my bow tie matches my pug tongue ~ Edna

I told humom she’s going to have to take Edna shopping for her own accessories. Either that, or buy me some new scarfs, sweaters, jackets and bow ties, and Edna can have my paw me downs.

Saying Goodbye

Our family had the most wonderful birthday party to celebrate our Nana’s 93rd birthday. Edna and I decorated the garden with balloons and streamers. It was a beautiful sunshiny day. Our humom, hudad, and hubrothers all gathered together to commemorate our Nana’s special day. It was a day we will not forget.

Unfortunately, only one week later, we did have to say a final farewell to our Nana.

Thank you Nana

We are ever so thankful for the opportunity to have shared in our Nana’s life, had the chance to celebrate her birthday, and are grateful for all the love she has shown us over the years. Her laughs, her jokes, her magic treat bag that she always carried, Nana will never be forgotten.

End of The Dog Days of Summer

Seems like only yesterday we were pulling out our garden chairs, basking in the sunshine, and complaining about the heat and humidity of the dog days of summer. But here we are, September already, where has summer gone?

Not giving up our garden chairs just yet!

Our garden chairs are still out, but the days are becoming shorter, our potty trips in the evening are getting darker, and we are not getting much suntanning in. Humom is already sorting through our Fall wardrobe, getting our sweaters ready for the cooler Autumn days. And as if summer winding down wasn’t enough, we are now hearing whispers about “finding Edie and Edna and the perfect Halloween costumes” !
