Pugs are known for their thicker necks, but Edie was quite comfortable and had no issue with the fit of her Tuesday’s Tie. Each Tuesday’s Tie is affixed with a crocheted neckband that is comfortable and can easily stretch between 11” to 20” for a cozy and comfortable fit!
The fabric of the Tuesday’s Ties is soft to the touch, but because it is fitted with a stiff internal interface, you will not end up with a tie that gets “floppy”, needs “straightening out” or constantly needing to be adjusted.

Tuesday’s Ties started by total accident in May 2016! I was looking for a new hobby to take my mind off of all the planning for my pugs & kisses themed wedding that was happening later that month. As Tuesday is such a fashionista I thought it would be fun to try my hand at sewing. I was very fortunate to have great teachers, both my Mom and Grandma gave me little lessons learning my new machine and providing tricks and tips! Growing up they made me the most beautiful play-clothes and costumes and it was a cherished bonding experience to continue this practice as an adult – even if the new outfits were for a pug! After making a few dresses and sweaters I decided to make her a bow tie. Tuesday just looked so adorable in it that I was hooked! From there Tuesday’s Ties was born! After nearly a year in business I have made huge strides in their structure and creation. I am so proud of the quality product and seeing all our happy customers in their ties is an unbeatable feeling.
Tuesday’s Ties has allowed me further advocate for pug rescue, donating ten percent of every tie sale to various rescues around the country. Rescuing Tuesday was my life’s greatest gift. She is my soulmate and helping other rescue dogs has been my way of amending her sad beginnings and honoring her impact on my life. OMG the very first dog I got as an adult was a pug. As she aged her tongue fell out of her mouth in exactly the same way! I could barely read the blog because my eyes were full of tears. I also think the ties are gorgeous!

I wish I could get our cats to wear bowtie, they look so cute! As a maker, I know that is something is well made and handmade it will be more durable that something cheap and cheerful. Edie looks brilliant!! 🙂
