2015
My Year in Review
I can’t believe another year has come to an end – where does the time go?
This is a look back at my very exciting year!
January 2015:
I filmed a video with my “fine food friends” Royal Canin Canada.
With the help of my humom, we discussed my successful weight loss journey and how I’ve become a healthier pug.
At the end of January I went to the Ontario Veterinary Conference at a downtown Toronto Hotel.
It was such a great time meeting so many new people.
Wasn’t I excited when I met my own vets there and got lots of love and belly rubs!
February was very exciting indeed!
I visited the studios of CP24 and shared the couch with Dr. Alex German – Pet Obesity Specialist – as we discussed successful weight loss for pets with Anne Romer on Animal House Calls.
February continued to be a busy month!
I made a trip to Niagara Falls and got to spend my first night at a hotel!
During the day I spent time hanging out with Royal Canin at the Ontario Veterinarian Technician Conference.
The exciting start to the year abrubtly came to a halt soon after my humom found a cyst-like growth in my face fold. It was decided that this cyst had to be removed as it was growing and we needed to confirm what kind of growth we were dealing with. Surgery was performed to remove this growth that worried and scared my humom, but thankfully, it came back benign and I made a full recovery.
Please.
If you see an unusual bump, growth or cyst on your pet, have it checked by your vet.
March: After making a full recovery, I was off to visit my friends at the Ontario SPCA in Newmarket, Ontario. There a plenty of pets there just waiting for their forever homes. You should stop by for a visit and see if you can make a new forever friend!
March continued to be a very eventful month!
Wasn’t I surprised to be invited to the CTV Canada AM Studios to sit on the Game Of Thrones Throne!
I mean, how could I refuse?!
It was such an honour to be there. I was very excited to meet film critic Mr.Richard Crouse and share the Throne with him!
After a very busy start to the year, it was time for this pug to have a bit of a break and chill out.
I helped the humans get the garden ready for summer; enjoyed the warm sunshine
I went for some car rides and did some sun bathing
June: I celebrated my 5th Barkday!
July & August
It was all about the outdoors.
Being on squirrel patrol and moving my office outside.
August
It was time to pack my bags again and hit the road.
I joined Royal Canin’s Weight Loss Symposium for Pets to show off my fit pug figure.
While at the Symposium, I met up with Dr. Alex German again!
And what an excited pug I was to meet Dr. Ernie Ward!
September
Now being a Toronto pug, it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t do some star gazing at the Toronto Film Festival – TIFF
October
What a special month this was for me! I have met many people and made many friends since I began on my “Social” journey, but 2 friends have been with me since almost the beginning; Ruth and her dog Maggie and Jeanette and her dog Nemo. We have shared and celebrated with each other, been there for each other, but have never actually met! So when an opportunity presented itself we got together for what we called an “International Tweet Up” weekend in Toronto.
In August of this year I was nominated by my good friend Dr. Ryan Llera, for the PetsPlus Champion Awards in the category of “Community Outreach”. Although I didn’t win and was unable to donate to my charity of choice for this year – The Farley Foundation – I was a top 5 Nominee and was presented with this certificate in November
December
A time to relax, wait for SantaPaws, enjoy being with family and friends, and this year for the first time I did a daily Christmas Countdown including my cats Lily and Lloyd.
What a busy and exciting year 2015 was for this pug!
I’m looking forward to seeing what 2016 will bring.
I can only hope for the opportunity to meet many more friends and get to go on new and exciting adventures!
